  • Merchants, residents or businesses who want to perform work on city streets or sidewalks should first obtain an encroachment permit. We issue permits to construct, improve, work on or occupy the city's sidewalks and roadways.

  • Turn around time will depend upon the magnitude of the proposed improvement and the completeness of the application. Permit applications are reviewed once every week. Please allow up to 1 week for review and issuance.

  • The encroachment permit or a copy thereof shall be kept at the site of the work and must be shown to any representative of the City or any law enforcement officer on demand. Work shall be suspended if permit is not at job site as provided.

  • Yes, you can contact the inspection line at 831-674-2635 24 hours prior to, during all phases of construction and upon completion of the project. Please reference your permit number when requesting an inspection
